Mathematics: bigger or smaller?

Get children excited about mathematics with our outdoor lesson plan, Bigger or Smaller?

This fun and engaging activity is brilliant for building vocabulary in early years’ mathematics. It teaches children about size and scale whilst also getting them outdoors and working as a team. It can even be adapted for older pupils by quantifying sizes together with mathematical features.

Learning through Landscapes developed this resource for a range of levels. It includes references to the curriculum in England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
