Happy Playday

1st August 2018

Today is national Playday- the celebration of children’s right to play, and a campaign that highlights the importance of play in children’s lives.

To join in the fun here at Learning through Landscapes, we’ve raided our archives to bring you some of our favourite free play resources from the last 10 years. They are as relevant today as they were when first published and you can dive in confident that the ideas they contain have been thoroughly tried and tested by our toughest critics- children!  Parents, teachers and play leaders across the UK have been busy downloading them over the last decade so we know they’re popular.

We believe that free play in outdoor spaces helps children to nurture their creativity, flex their imaginations and embrace their physical potential. Please let us know how you and your children are playing today using the campaign hashtag  #Playday2018 and our usual one: #OutdoorClassroomDay

Have a great day!
